The braces are made of minicell foam and attach using strong velcro which is included in the kit. For the thigh braces, place them where they fit you best. Then peel the backing off of the soft side of the velcro and stick on the inside of the kayak for your hips and the more abrasive side on the back of the hip pad. Repeat on the other side.

For the knee braces, stick the soft side of the velcro on the cockpit pad about half way up, and the abrasive side on the back of the knee pad. Repeat on the other side.

The velcro allows you to remove the pads to nest the kayak. The velcro is quite durable, sticks well and is waterproof.
